out-of-state tuition grants

Based on need and funding availability, fellowships and research assistantships may be augmented to cover non-resident tuition costs ($226/unit for up to 10 units/quarter for 3 quarters) for out-of-state students during the first year of participation in the program. A student is expected to gain California residency after their first year.
